Do you know about Bekwel ? This language, belonging to the Niger-Congo family and spoken in Gabon, Cameroon and Congo, is still unrecognized and underrated even in the countries where it is spoken. But despite the poor amount of documentation, and its absence from the media and education, the number of speakers of Bekwel seems to stay constant and the language survives nevertheless !

On the 24th of January, Sorosoro shared an article from CBC Canada about a movie that is going to be fully directed, written and played in the Haida language of Canada ! Produced by the same team that gave us the famous Atanarjuat, the fast runner (a movie entirely played in Inuktitut), The Edge of the Knife will only cast actors from the haïda community of the Haida Gwaii archipelago from Western Canada !
