Today, let’s go to the Far North, more particularly in Norway, to discover the Kven language !
Close to Finnish language (some even consider Kven to be a dialect, called “Norwegian Finnish”), Kven is spoken by thousands of speakers throughout Finnmark, the northernmost area of Norway. Despite a difficult situation, the language has an official status in Norway and some schools and universities have started to teach it. More infos on the complete language sheet (only available in French for the moment) !
