October 9, 2011: University of Melbourne Postdoctoral Fellowships application deadline
Applicants to the 2012 McKenzie Postdoctoral Fellowships are invited to submit their applications by October 9. The research grants, A.6 in the University Salary Band, will be allocated over a maximum of three years. Fellows will receive an additional $15,000 to be spent on travel and/or equipment.
The McKenzie grants aim to contribute to the development of an ambitious research program at Melbourne University, and in this respect, to recruit young promising researchers with the potential to build and lead cross-disciplinary collaborative research activities.
Applicants must have recently graduated from a university other than the University of Melbourne, and should not be currently employed by the university. Application will be assessed on the following criteria:
– expected outcomes
– possible future outcomes in terms of research and academic employment
– contribution of the research to the development of the university
