The Department of Language and Literature at the University of Goroka is urgently seeking two experienced lecturers for late January 2011.

The first post is a position in Language, Literature and Linguistics, for courses in Language and Linguistics.

The second vacancy is a position in Linguistics with a teaching load of Language only.

In both cases, applicants must hold a PhD in relevant subjects and have taught in higher education in developing countries. They should have experience in supervising theses. Their research should be recognized internationally, and published in benchmark journals. Computer skills are also required and experience in media and communication is desired.

In addition to their teaching assignments and research, those selected will complete the development of academic programs, including for post-docs.
