April 19, 2010: deadline for University of Indiana conference call for papers
October 7 – 10, 2010: An interdisciplinary conference called “Minority Languages in Europe: Successes and Challenges” will be held at the University of Indiana at the instigation of Julie Auger, linguist/sociolinguist from Quebec.
The objective of the organizers is to gather researchers and figures from various backgrounds (linguists, historians, politicians, authors, artists…) to discuss the issue of so-called “minority” languages in 21st Century Europe.
Potential speakers are invited to submit their paper suggestions online by April 19, 2010 in the form of summaries which should not exceed one page (a second page is accepted for examples, sources and references).
