As part of the Festival de l’Imaginaire, the French Maison des Cultures du Monde will present the 7th Journée du Patrimoine Culturel Immatériel (« Intangible Cultural Heritage » conference) on April 12, 2010.

Launched over six years ago, this annual event aimes at raising awareness on what « intangible cultural héritage » refers to, and reflecting on the UNESCO Convention crafted to protect this heritage.

The central subject of this year’s edition will the risks incurred by elements of the intangible heritage which are, or will be listed as « Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Cultural Heritage ».
