Maranunggu is an aboriginal language spoken in the Australian Northern Territory (NT), around Elizabeth Downs Station (Tryon 1979).
Country around Hermit Hill (Basedow 1907:2).

The 2005 National Indigenous Languages Survey Report estimated 5 speakers of Maranunggu.
Language vitality & transmission:
Maranunggu is currently very close to extinction.
