Doolbong : extinct
Gajirrabeng (alternative name : Gadjerawang) : probably extinct
Kija: 100 speakers according to UNESCO and 60 according to SIL.
Miriwoong (alternative name : Mirriwung) : 50 speakers according to SIL and 20 according to UNESCO
Comments on the classification of Jarrakan languages :
Doolbong may have belonged to this group, but it is extinct and little documentation exists, its classification remains uncertain.
Are Jarrakan languages endangered ?
Indeed, Kija and Miriwoong are in « a critical situation » according to UNESCO criteria, Gajirrabeng is possibly extinct or in the process of becoming so.
