September 15, 2011: Paper submission deadline for 5th ASEAN Linguistic Conference, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The Fifth ASEAN Linguistic Conference will take place on December 21 and 22, 2011, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Organized by the Malaysian Linguistics Association and the National University of Malaysia, the conference aims to gather linguistic academia from the ASEAN region to share knowledge in their current research.
This 5th edition has been themed “A tapestry of ASEAN linguistics: research and the enrichment of the corpus of knowledge”.
Propositions should involve one of the following fields:
– Theoretical linguistics
– Applied linguistics
– Corpus linguistics
– Comparative linguistics
– Language planning
– Language teaching
– Bilingualism
– Dialectology
– Language and culture
– Translation
– Cross-culture
Academicians, students, researchers, professionals or members of the public from ASEAN member countries and others are welcome to apply.
Presentations should be made either in English or Malay.
Deadline for abstracts is September 15. Notifications of acceptance will be issued on October 1, and full papers should be received by November 1.
