Thursday November 12: 9.30am – 12pm – UNESCO – Paris 7e – Metro: Ségur or Cambronne – Free admission – Conference with Vandana Shiva, Danielle Mitterrand, José Gualinga on the preservation of traditional knowledge: Manifeste sur l’avenir des systémes de connaissance (« Manifesto on the future of knowledge systems »).
Friday November 13: 6pm – Galerie Dupon, 74 rue Joseph de Maistre, Paris 18e – Metro: Guy Môquet – Conference with José Gualinga and Tupak Viteri – Followed by the launch of Patrick Bard’s latest work, Amazone, un monde en suspens (« Amazonia, a world on hold » – Ed.Seuil), a part of which is devoted to the Sarayaku’s struggle against oil.
