October 6, 2009: Account of the Results of the Sorosoro Programme at the Quai Branly Museum
A little more than a year after it was launched, Sorosoro will present and assess the results of its work at the Quai Branly Museum. It is also on this occasion that its website will be officially launched. Below is the programme of the event:
10.00am: Introductions
Rozenn Milin, Director of the Sorosoro and General Delegate of the Fondation Chirac for Cultural Diversity.
Franck Debié, Managing Director of the Fondation Chirac.
10.10am: Presentation of the fieldwork by linguists.
Presentation by Colette Grinevald, about the languages of Guatemala (with videos).
Presentation by Jean-Marie Hombert, about filming in Gabon (with videos).
Presentation by Stéphane Robert, about the project “Sénélangues (documentation of Senegalese
languages) associated to the Sorosoro programme.
10.35am: Presentation of the website sorosoro.org
Rozenn Milin: presentation and demonstration of the website.
Presentation by Jean-Yves Larrouturou, Deputy Managing Director of Orange, in charge of Africa,
the Middle East and Asia, about Orange’s commitment to the Sorosoro programme.
10.50am: Conclusions
Presentation by Claude Hagège, linguist, writer.
