Rozenn Milin, la directora de Sorosoro<\/strong> ha viajado del 11 al 14 de noviembre a Salt Lake City\u00a0<\/strong> en los Estados Unidos para participar en el simposio ELIIP<\/a>, organizado por varias universidades estadounidenses con el objetivo de compilar y armonizar los datos disponibles sobre las lenguas en peligro de extinci\u00f3n<\/strong>. Muchos investigadores est\u00e1n trabajando en la descripci\u00f3n y documentaci\u00f3n de dichas lenguas en todo el mundo, y diferentes organismos ponen esos trabajos de investigaci\u00f3n a la disposici\u00f3n de los dem\u00e1s. Pero los datos evolucionan con el tiempo y muchos sienten la necesidad de verlos actualizados peri\u00f3dicamente y que se publiquen de forma coherente. Cincuenta ling\u00fcistas<\/strong> provenientes de todo el mundo y representantes de las principales instituciones internacionales que trabajan en el sector, han dedicado tres d\u00edas para estudiar la cuesti\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Este simposio fue una excelente oportunidad para dar a conocer Sorosoro<\/strong>, especialmente en el mundo anglosaj\u00f3n. La presentaci\u00f3n de la p\u00e1gina web, ahora tambi\u00e9n disponible en Ingl\u00e9s, ha capturado la Asamblea, y los v\u00eddeos han permitido posicionar a Sorosoro<\/strong> en un lugar que no est\u00e1 cubierto por ninguna otra organizaci\u00f3n.
