Seguimos aqu\u00ed la clasificaci\u00f3n propuesta por Campbell (1997).<\/p>\n

El wich\u00ed es un conjunto de 3 dialectos.<\/p>\n

Kaufmann ha propuesto un reagrupamiento hipot\u00e9tico de la familia matacoane con la familia waykuruane, la familia charruane y la familia maskoiane. El conjunto ser\u00eda una sola y misma super familia \u00ab macro-waykuruane \u00bb. Seg\u00fan Campbell, tal reagrupamiento por el momento es hipot\u00e9tico.<\/p>\n

\u00bfEst\u00e1n en peligro las lenguas matacoanas?<\/h5>\n

El chorote es una lengua en peligro seg\u00fan la UNESCO, igualmente considera al nivacl\u00e9 y al wich\u00ed como dos lenguas \u00ab vulnerables \u00bb.<\/p>\n

La UNESCO no proporciona elementos sobre la vitalidad del maca pero es muy probable que est\u00e9 igualmente amenazado.<\/p>\n
