The International Jean Rouch Festival is an opportunity to discover some of his work and dozens of other ethnological films.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #939523;\"><strong>Agenda<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Created in March 1982, the <strong>Festival International Jean Rouch<\/strong> celebrates its 30th anniversary with one-off events scheduled in different parts of Paris, France, and Niger, from <strong>November 5 to 26<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sorosoro.org\/en\/november-5-26-2011-30th-jean-rouch-international-film-festival-france-and-niger\">Read article<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #939523;\"><strong>Soropedia<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Focus this week on the languages of populations whom Jean Rouch worked on:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; the Dogon, one one hand, to whom he dedicated several films. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sorosoro.org\/en\/dogon-languages\"><strong>Dogon language family<\/strong><\/a> counts around 20 languages<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; the Songhay, one the other hand, subject of one of his books.
