{"id":59227,"date":"2011-10-30T23:59:13","date_gmt":"2011-10-30T21:59:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sorosoro.org\/?p=59227"},"modified":"2025-10-21T22:15:46","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T20:15:46","slug":"october-30-november-3-2011-stilla-symposium-indiana-usa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sorosoro.org\/en\/2011\/10\/october-30-november-3-2011-stilla-symposium-indiana-usa\/","title":{"rendered":"October 30 \u2013 November 3, 2011: STILLA Symposium, Indiana, USA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Kellogg Institute for International Studies<\/strong> at the <strong>University of Notre Dame<\/strong> will be hosting the 2011 edition of <strong>STILLA<\/strong> \u2013 Symposium on Teaching and Learning Indigenous Languages of Latin America.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This event comes as a follow-up to a 2008 edition held at Indiana University, which resulted in the formation of the Association for Teaching and Learning Indigenous Languages of Latin America (<strong>ATLILLA<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Once again, the STILLA will bring together instructors, language practitioners, activists, indigenous leaders, scholars, and learners of indigenous languages. The symposium will focus on <strong>research and pedagogy related to the diverse languages and cultures of indigenous populations in Latin America and the Caribbean<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The objective is to engage a hemispheric dialogue among participants, and to serve as a forum for exchanging ideas and sharing experience.
