The Network for the Linguistic and Educational Rights of the Indigenous Peoples of Chile<\/strong> advocates the right to cross-cultural education for all, and bilingual cross-cultural education for indigenous peoples.<\/p>\n

This Saturday, June 18<\/strong>, the Network is organizing a workshop-forum at the Santiago-based university of Alberto Hurtado<\/strong> following a series of meetings that were held across the country, bringing together members of various indigenous communities. The aim here is to define jointly the terms of a bill known as the General law on the linguistic rights of the native peoples of Chile<\/strong>, which will then be introduced to parliament.<\/p>\n

Leaders, educators and students working on the topic are welcome to take part in the workshops.<\/p>\n
