Five days of lectures, discussions, films, and workshops.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; \">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; \">A fair part of the program includes daily \u00ab <strong>meet an endangered language<\/strong> \u00bb sessions, a way to discover these languages, where they\u2019re spoken, why they\u2019re endangered, and also learn a few basic words and phrases. Presentations will include Frederieke L\u00fcpke on Baynunk, a language of Senegal we\u2019re most familiar with here at Sorosoro, having worked on its documentation in 2010. We also have a few <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sorosoro.org\/en\/videos-in-baynunk-senegal\">videos in Baynunk available online<\/a>&gt;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; \">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; \">Wednesday 11 schedules a full day of films on language endangerment. Also worth noting, the presence of Anvita Abbi, well-known linguist for her documentation of the Bo language formerly spoken on the Andaman Islands, and whose <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sorosoro.org\/en\/4-february-2010-4-february-2010-disappearance-of-the-last-speaker-of-the-bo-andaman-language\">last speaker Ms. Boa<\/a> passed away early 2010.
