More on \u00ab Inuk \u00bb! After leaving the Woostock Film Festival with the best cinematography award, this film entirely directed in Kalaallisut<\/strong> (a native language of Greenland) has just received the Jury Special Prize<\/strong> at the International Polar Film Festival<\/strong>, organized at the Oceanographic Institute in Paris, as well as a \u00ab coup de c\u0153ur \u00bb prize to Gaba Petersen<\/strong> for his interpretation of Inuk.<\/p>\n

Sorosoro has already showed its interest towards this film following screening in Woodstock<\/strong> last October<\/a> as well as in Paris in February<\/a>. Inuk is Mike Magidson\u2019s first feature-length film, inspired by a true story<\/strong>, that of a sixteen year old lost teenager who leaves the Greenland capital, in the South of the country, to be placed in a home in the remote and frozen North. We can only hope for this road-movie on sledge, interpreted by Inuit actors, to keep on its already long and successful journey.<\/p>\n
