{"id":32576,"date":"2010-11-12T10:59:55","date_gmt":"2010-11-12T09:59:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sorosoro.org\/?p=32576"},"modified":"2011-03-03T14:32:33","modified_gmt":"2011-03-03T13:32:33","slug":"numbers-in-baynunk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sorosoro.org\/en\/2010\/11\/numbers-in-baynunk\/","title":{"rendered":"Numbers in Baynunk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thanks to the work of our team sent in April and May to <strong>Casamance<\/strong>, under the direction of young linguist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sorosoro.org\/en\/the-baynunk-language-by-linguist-sokhna-bao-diop\">Sokhna Bao-Diop<\/a>, here are the <strong>numbers from 1 to 10<\/strong>, given by Fatou Binetou Coly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Baynunk language belongs to the big <a href=\"..\/en\/niger-congo-languages\">Niger-Congo<\/a> family (North Atlantic branch, Tenda-nyun group). It is spoken in <strong>south Senegal<\/strong>, as well as in neighbouring <strong>Gambia <\/strong>and <strong>Guinea-Bissau<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2006  website Ethnologue.com estimated the number of speakers of Baynunk at  6,200.
