Their founder, Piatsaw, had predicted the extinction of the community right from the beginning\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Today they struggle for the <strong>safeguard of their identity<\/strong>, and this film by Pierre Bessard raises all these efforts to revitalize their language and culture. There\u2019s the journey of a woman, for example, who sets off to meet several other Indian communities in hope to unveil her own roots and thus reinforce the culture of her people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Anne-Ga\u00ebl Bilhaut<\/strong>, ethnologist and specialist of the Zapara, whose means of cultural transmission she has extensively studied, will attend the screening.
