This first all-girls chapter evokes moments of hardship in the life of a woman, with a sense of melody you can\u2019t help falling for\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">Agenda<\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Reminder for linguists who wish to attend the following conferences:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Three more weeks to submit presentation abstracts for the second<strong> <em>International <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sorosoro.org\/en\/31-august-2010-submission-deadline-for-entries-to-the-second-international-conference-on-language-documentation-and-conservation-icldc-which-will-be-held-11-13-february-2011-at-the-university-of-h\">Conference<\/a> on Language Documentation and Conservation<\/em><\/strong>, held in February 2011 at the University of Hawaii. Deadline: <strong>August 31<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Likewise, presentation proposals for the <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sorosoro.org\/en\/september-1-2010-cut-off-date-for-the-date-for-presentation-proposals-for-the-city-university-of-new-york-cuny-conference-on-the-phonology-of-endangered-languages-which-will-be-taking-place-in-j\">Conference<\/a> on the Phonology of Endangered Languages<\/em><\/strong>, held in January 2011, NYC, should be submitted by <strong>September 1st<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">Language indexes<\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">G\u00e9rard Galtier, linguist and professor at the Inalco (French \u201cNational Institute for Eastern languages and Civilisations\u201d), provides us this week with a description of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sorosoro.org\/le-soninke\">Soninke<\/a><\/strong> (soon to be translated in English), a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sorosoro.org\/en\/mande-languages\">Mande language<\/a> mostly spoken in West Africa and in the diaspora.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our Spanish website is gaining in consistency thanks to the generous work of our volunteer translators.
