At the age of 23, she is one of the youngest authors around when her first novel <em>Maria Morena<\/em> is released in 1989, catching the eye of critics and reviewers. In the years that followed F\u00e9licie Dubois wrote at an average of one book a year until 1993, where she took a turn to radio and theater work, before returning 4 years later with the uncommon <em>L&#8217;Hypoth\u00e8se de l&#8217;Argile<\/em> (<em>&#8220;The Clay Hypothesis<\/em>&#8220;) published by <em>Flammarion<\/em>. Born to an unidentified mother, her work evolves around questions of identity, entangled within a melodious and rhythmical sense of speech. She is also the author of an outstanding biography\/portrait of Tennessee Williams.
