These languages have sometimes been assimilated to those of the Sepik family, in a theoretical \u00ab Sepik-Ramu \u00bb grouping ; but this assimilation is no longer considered to be valid.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There is no real consensus on the internal classification of these languages, only the Lower Ramu branch is really accepted, the others are hypothetical groupings at this time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>NB<\/strong> : the Mongol language of the Ramu-Lower  Sepik family should not be confused with  Mongol, the official language of Mongolia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sources<\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Foley, William A. \u00ab Linguistic prehistory in the Sepik-Ramu basin \u00bb. in Andrew Pawley, Robert Attenborough, Robin Hide, Jack Golson, eds..
