You will find here a basic glossary that will help you find your way in this jargon.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/en\/2015\/06\/affix\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Affix<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nAn affix refers to a morpheme combined to a root to add a lexical or grammatical piece of information. <a href=\"\/en\/2015\/06\/affix\/\" target=\"_blank\">For further information<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/en\/2015\/06\/numerical-classifier\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Numerical classifier<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nIn many languages, it\u2019s impossible to directly state numbered items and a \u201cnumerical classifier\u201d has to be added to numbers.
