It is best considered an isolate, until then.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Area<\/strong>: Australia, Northern Territory, Groote Eylandt, Bickerton Island<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Number of speakers<\/strong>: The 2005 National Indigenous Languages Survey Report estimated approximately 1500  speakers of Anindilyakwa, whereas the 2006 Australian Bureau of Statistics Census counted 1283 speakers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Language vitality &amp; transmission<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to Unesco Anindilyakwa is a lightly endangered language (classified \u201cvulnerable\u201d, grade 1).
